To achieve the best possible ending, you'll have to get the support of all the villagers. In the following guide, we'll explain exactly how to get them and unlock the best ending.

How do I get the support of the villagers?

The cozy small town of Haven Springs features a variety of colorful characters. Each of them features a unique personality and function. As the story progresses, you'll get to know the characters better and use your superpower to help people with their problems.

You can relax on the rooftop terrace between sequences.

Shortly before the end of the game, the final showdown takes place in the Black Lantern. You have to uncover the incantation around Haven Springs and bring the culprits to justice. To do this, however, you need the support of the villagers. This, in turn, depends on whether or not you have previously helped the people with their problems.

Win Eleanor over

Eleanor is the owner of the flower store and Riley's foster mother. As the story progresses, it becomes increasingly clear that the elderly lady is becoming more and more forgetful. After a dramatic cutscene, we learn that Eleanor is suffering from Alzheimer's. This is where it becomes important how you deal with this realization.

Eleanor is hiding a sad secret.

These conditions must be met:

  • Chapter 2: After helping Eleanor through her anxiety attack, you can either tell the woman the truth or lie. Be sure to tell her the truth to gain her trust.
  • Chapter 3: If you go to the flower store during the LARP and find Riley, don't tell her about Eleanor's illness.
  • Chapter 4: Here you can see Riley off on her way to college, but still must not mention anything about Eleanor's dementia. You can also just ignore Riley to get Eleanor's support.

Win Pike over

Pike is the Haven Springs police officer. The good-natured giant has a strong urge for justice, but on the other hand, he also fears Typhon's power. Help him overcome his fear to win him over to your cause.

Once you have removed Pike's fear, the policeman will have your back from now on.

These conditions must be met:

  • Chapter 4: After being brought to the police station by Pike, you have the option to free him from his fear. Do this to secure his support. However, Alex is now continuously plagued by Pike's fears.

Win Charlotte for you

Charlotte was Gabe's girlfriend and is struggling hard after his death. The owner of the pharmacy doesn't manage to deal with her grief and has problems getting her son off the hook.

Charlotte is the pharmacy owner.

These conditions must be met:

  • Chapter 1: Tell Gabe that Ethan plans to go to the old mine. This will damage your relationship with Ethan, but will secure Charlotte's trust.
  • Chapter 3: Do not take away Charlotte's anger. This would make Charlotte think that there is something wrong with her. Also, it will cause you to lose Ryan's support as well.

Winning Duckie over

Duckie is the bearded oddball who can often be found in the Black Lantern. While at first glance Duckie is a friendly and gregarious fellow, through your superpower you learn that Duckie is still reeling heavily from the loss of his wife.

Duckie is in the bar most of the time.

These conditions must be met:

  • Chapter 1: After you start as a waitress, it's important to deliver Duckie and Diane's orders correctly. Also, you'll have to recover Duckie's lost whiskey bottle, which is hidden in Alex's couch.
  • Chapter 4: During the festival, you'll find Duckie lonely and alone in the bar. Cheer him up by playing a special song on the jukebox and then offer him a dance.

Win Ryan for you

Ryan is a game warden and the son of Jed, the bar owner. In addition, Ryan is the second romance option in the game, along with Steph. Ryan impresses with great helpfulness and a penchant for the dramatic.

These conditions must be met:

  • Chapter 1: While searching for the lost Ethan, you and Ryan will end up in an old mine building. Ryan will ask you which cable he should take. Answer here with "the red one".
  • Chapter 2: Support Ryan at the memorial service by saying that you overheard the call from Gabe.
  • Chapter 2: After telling Ryan about your superpower, you must hug him to cement your relationship.
  • Chapter 3: You must be sure to leave Charlotte alone with her anger so that you don't throw a tantrum in front of Ryan and Steph, making them leave.

All possible endings in Life is Strange: True Colors

In Life is Strange: True Colors, you can reach a total of six different endings. The final sequences are not only shaped by your previous decisions, but are also significantly influenced by your chosen relationship. In a final conversation with your dead brother, you also have the opportunity to change the outcome of the story.

  • Alex stays in Haven: If you decide not to enter into a relationship, you can choose to stay in Haven Springs. You will then take over Steph's record store after she leaves the village.
  • Alex leaves Haven: You can also choose to leave Haven Springs after all the drama. In a final cutscene, you'll see Alex get on the bus. Who all says goodbye to you at the bus stop depends on who you helped before.
  • Alex stays with Ryan: If you have entered into a relationship with Ryan, you can decide to stay with him in the small town. Ryan will then take over his father's bar and you'll be in charge of the record store.

Steph is one of two romance options.

  • Alex leaves with Ryan: After all the misery in Haven Springs, Steph, Ryan and Alex leave. Steph leaves the two to pursue her own career. Alex and Ryan travel the country together making music.
  • Alex stays with Steph: If you decide to have a relationship with Steph, you can stay in Haven Springs together and run the record store.
  • Alex leaves with Steph: On the other hand, you can elope with your new flame and leave Haven Springs. Alex and Steph will then both go on tour and travel around the US.
