Sometimes you even unlock secret sections. In this guide, we'll show you which decisions affect the course of the game.

Chapter 2: Arrested

What should I hide - llama or tech?

When encountering the Nova Corps, you must decide whether to hide the captured llama or Rocket's illegal tech.

Consequences of hiding the llama:

  • Your Nova penalty will be lower.
  • You unlock a shortcut in Chapter 10.

Consequences of hiding Rocket's tech:

  • Your Nova penalty will increase.
  • Rocket builds weapon upgrades for the Milano from the tech, which will help you in the boss fight with Glah-Ree.

Who should I help - Nikki or Ko-Rel?

At Nova Station, you'll join Nikki in meeting her mother Ko-Rel. In the elevator, an argument ensues and you can take sides.

Consequences if you stand by Nikki:

  • Nikki slips Star-Lord the master key.
  • In Chapter 7, you'll gain access to locked doors, new areas and secret collectibles.

Consequences of assisting Ko-Rel:

  • Ko-Rel takes the master key from Nikki.
  • A few doors will remain locked for you in Chapter 7 and you will miss collectibles.

With the right dialogue options, you'll get Nikki's master key in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.

Chapter 3: The Price of Freedom

Who should I sell - Groot or Rocket?

On the Milano, you decide whether to sell Groot or Rocket as a monster to Lady Hellbender.

  • You miss out on a collectible.

Chapter 4: The Monster Queen

Should I let Drax handle the negotiation with Lady Hellbender?

In Chapter 3, you had to decide whether to sell Rocket or Groot. Now the sales pitch with Lady Hellbender begins. If you chose Rocket, your decisions will have no effect - there will be a fight either way. If you sell Groot, you now decide who will lead the negotiations.

Consequences if you negotiate with Star-Lord:

  • Lady Hellbender will pay you less.

Consequences if you let Drax negotiate:

Singing with Lipless - which lyrics should I choose?

On Nowhere, you'll pass Mantlo's Bar and can approach Groot and Rocket if you go straight through the door and don't already greet them at the window. Shortly after, Lipless will ask you to do a karaoke duet. You decide which song lines Peter will sing.

  • You will receive the friendship with Lipless.
  • Lipless gives you a ticket to the Collector's Emporium, where you can buy a Guardian collectible.
  • You get a free drink at the bar.

  • Your friendship with Lipless is gone.

If you approach Groot and Rocket at the window, you will miss the section with Lipless

Chapter 8: The Matriarch

How to distract Raker

Raker leads you on a hover platform to the Matriarch. While on the ride, Rocket tries to manipulate a drone. You'll need to choose the right lines of dialogue ("distract Raker," "something about him?," "fake a heart attack") to keep Raker distracted long enough.

Consequences if you Raker successfully distracts you:

  • In a big fight, later in the chapter, the drone helps you and shows you a way out.

Consequences if you don't distract Raker:

  • You'll have to fight your way out later in the chapter and find the exit yourself.

Should I accept the promise?

In the flashback on Peter's farm, you can save his mother in the fight with the Chitauri. She then hugs you and the image slowly fades out. You decide whether to allow the hug (do nothing) or break it. To push Meredith away, press various buttons and move the left analog stick. After that, you'll have to shoot her several times with the blaster.

Consequences if you take the pledge:

  • The game ends at this point. If you continue, you will end up here again.

Consequences if you reconsider the decision:

  • You reject the pledge and the game continues.
