  • Which WoW Classic Dungeons there are
  • Which character level the instances are suitable for
  • Where to find the entrances to the dungeons

If you are still looking for the right addons for your interface, we have a few suggestions for you.

WoW Classic Dungeons: The Requirements

In WoW Classic - or Vanilla, as the original version without expansions is also called - there are 19 dungeons in which you can romp around in groups of five and hope for loot. Each instance has its own level requirement, which is why you can't just raid Zul'Farrak with your level 20 character. In the following paragraphs you will find the level you should ideally have with your avatar, as well as the minimum level. If you haven't reached this level, you won't be able to enter the WoW Classic Dungeons.

The Flame Maw

One of the first WoW Classic Dungeons is the Flame Maw. There are four bosses waiting to be razed to the ground by a tank, a healer and three damage dealers. Basically, the instance can be played by both Horde and Alliance players, but for the latter, the way to the dungeon entrance could be a challenge. It is located in the middle of Ogrimmar, one of the capitals of the Horde. Without a dungeon finder, which has been available in the main game for a long time, alliance players often have no choice but to "muddle through" to the entrance. Or to hope that the opposing faction will have an afterthought and let you pass through ..

  • Where is the instance? Ogrimmar (Capital of the Horde)
  • For which level? 13-18 (at least 10)

The Death Mines

The first instance for the Alliance awaits in Westfall: the Death Mines. Although it is not located in the middle of a capital city like the Flame Maw, Horde players must first make the arduous journey to the other continent to face the six bosses.

  • Where is the instance? In Westfall
  • For which level? 17-24 (minimum 10)

Caves of Woe

If you venture into the Caves of Lamentation, you shouldn't be afraid of snakes - they lurk everywhere in the instance. However, if you bite your way through, you will have the chance to get a lot of loot. There are eight bosses hiding in the WoW Classic Dungeon, which make it more or less easy for you.

By the way: With a bit of luck, Lady Anakondra drops a 10-slot container. And you know: Every slot in your pockets counts!

  • Where is the instance? Northern Barrens
  • For what level? 17-24 (at least 10)

Castle Schattenfang

Count Dracula would feel right at home in Schattenfang Castle. At least the walls look as if they came directly from Transylvania. Five bosses are spread over several levels, leading the instance group up to a tower, where Lord Godfrey is already waiting for you and doesn't intend to let you go without a fight.

  • Where is the instance? Silver Forest
  • For which level? 22-30 (at least 14)

The dungeon

To get to the dungeon, the Alliance has a clear advantage this time, because the dungeon is located directly in Stormwind. It is ideal for making several runs in a row, because there are only three bosses. So if you don't find the loot you want, just get out and go right back in.

  • Where is the instance? Stormwind (Capital of the Alliance)
  • For which level? 24-31 (at least 15)

Deep Black Grotto

In the northwest of Ashenvale in Kalimdor, the Deep Black Grotto hides near the water, along with its six boss inhabitants. It goes through dark cave passages, it must be fought under water and at the end a three-headed Hydra waits for you, which is not squeamish with its toxic spit.

  • Where is the instance? Ashenvale
  • For which level? 22-30 (at least 15)

Gnomeregan

Gnomes are world famous in World of Warcraft for their engineering skills. No wonder they got their own instance with Gnomeregan, where little robot bombs and robot riders run around everywhere. And it's even less surprising that some of the five bosses drop rings that look like a nut.

  • Where is the instance? Dun Morogh
  • For what level? 26-38 (at least 19)

Scarlet Monastery

The Scarlet Monastery is divided into four areas with seven bosses: the graveyard, the library, the armory and the cathedral. The first two parts can be entered just like that, for the armory and the cathedral you need a key, which drops in the library.

By the way, the last boss of the instance, High Inquisitor White Tear, can drop a neck of epic quality. A real rarity in the days of WoW Classic.

  • Where is the instance? Tirisfal
  • For what level? 28-38 (at least 21)

Kral the Blade Tusk

Hiding in the mountains of the Southern Barrens is Kral the Blade Tusker. Its inhabitants have made themselves comfortable among thorny vines and undergrowth - who likes it? If you make your way through the instance, you will have to pass five bosses and can mentally prepare yourself for the fact that the second part of the WoW Classic Dungeon awaits you a few levels later.

  • Where is the instance? Southern Barrens
  • For which level? 29-38 (at least 25)

Uldaman

A whopping eight bosses await you in Uldaman among numerous troggs and dark iron dwarves. In the titanic vault there are numerous tunnels, in which you end up in a dead end every now and then. But for the possible loot you like to run the one or other way twice, right?

  • Where is the instance? Wasteland
  • For which level? 35-45 (at least 30)

Maraudon

Maraudon is also one of the WoW Classic Dungeons that split. In this case, there are two instance parts. There are four bosses in each of the two instances, but Meshlok, a rare extra boss, can still appear in the caves of Maraudon.

  • Where is the instance? Desolace
  • For what level? 46-55 (at least 30)

Hill of the Blade Tusks

Here we are again in the southern wasteland. This time, however, the Blade Tusker's Hill is waiting for us - along with its six bosses. Slowly but surely, you'll run towards the grand finale on the main hill underground, where Deathspeaker Blackthorn is already waiting for you.

  • Where is the instance? Southern Barrens
  • For which level? 37-46 (minimum 35)

Zul'Farrak

In the middle of the Tanaris desert hide the ruins of Zul'Farrak - and in them seven bosses have made themselves comfortable. Along with them live countless basilisks, scarabs and undead. One wrong step and you'll find yourself in the midst of a pack of undead who want to take you into their realm. Zul'Farrak is one of the longer WoW Classic dungeons, but also one of the most entertaining.

  • Where is the instance? Tanaris
  • For which level? 44-54 (at least 39)

Temple of Atal'Hakkar

The Temple of Atal'Hakkar - also known as the Sunken Temple - is home to four bosses. Some of them are out to get your spirit, take you over, and sic you on your teammates! Two of the bosses offer epic loot as a reward.

  • Where is the instance? Swamps of Misery
  • For which level? 50-60 (minimum 45)

Blackrock Depths

Which instance would you like to play this time? The Blackrock Depths consist of two partial dungeons. You can choose between the upper quarter and the prison block. In total, you will find 19 bosses in the Blackrock Depths.

By the way: In these two WoW Classic dungeons, especially those who have mining as their profession will get their money's worth.

  • Where is the instance? Searing Gorge / Burning Steppe
  • For which level? 52-60 (at least 48)

Scholomance

Welcome to the chambers of the undead, inhabited by five bosses and numerous ghosts and skeletons. Especially the final boss, Darkmaster Gandling, doesn't want to leave his mansion to you without a fight. Especially ranged fighters hope for Gandling's quick demise, because he might have an epic caster staff in his luggage for them.

  • Where is the instance? Western Plaguelands
  • For what level? 58-60 (minimum 48)

Stratholme

Stratholme in the Eastern Plaguelands is one of those instances that you should rather enter shortly before your final level. After all, you can choose between two entrances: If you choose the main gate, you will enter the monastery part of the instance, where six bosses are waiting for you. The servants' entrance, on the other hand, will take you to the undead section, which also has six bosses.

  • Where is the instance? Eastern Plaguelands
  • For which level? 58-60 (minimum 48)

Lower Blackrock Peak

There are more bosses waiting for you here than anywhere else - nine of them in number! While you fight your way through the lower Blackrock Spire, be sure to study the map, otherwise the instance will quickly turn out to be a maze. By the way, if you're a diligent pet collector, both Mother Micaweb and Armorer Zigris will drop one each. Good luck!

  • Where is the instance? Searing Gorge / Burning Steppe
  • For which level? 54-60 (minimum 48)

Bleak Quarry

In Bleak Quarry, three WoW Classic dungeons hide in one area. You have the choice between the Usury Bork Quarter with a total of four bosses, the Capital Gardens with five bosses or the Gordol Halls with its seven bosses. If you are very ambitious and have a lot of time, you can also do all three instances in a row - as long as you have the appropriate level.

  • Where is the instance? Ferala's
  • For which level? 55-60 (at least 48)
