Far Cry 5: Whiskey River - All Whiskey Barrels & Their Locations

In Far Cry 5, you'll travel through Hope County, a fictional area in Montana, to put a stop to the Eden's Gate cult in Far Cry 5. However, as usual for an open-world game, confrontations with religious fanatics aren 't the only activity open to you.

You can also go fishing and roam the woods to hunt grizzly bears and deer, or you can scour the game world in search of collectibles, such as lighters, comic books, baseball cards or so-called bobbleheads.

For the side mission "Whiskey River", you'll also have to use your intuition to find a total of 15 whiskey barrels in Far Cry 5. So that you don't despair, we'll explain here what you have to keep in mind for the mission and where you can find the barrels.

The quest "Whiskey River" in detail

Before you start searching for the whiskey barrels, you should accept the quest called "Whiskey River", for which you have to find the wooden containers.

To do this, first go to the fishing store where Sherri Woodhouse is staying in Hope County. You'll find it southwest of the Drubman Marina in the Faith area. From there, drive south on the road. Near the large railroad bridge, the store you are looking for in Far Cry 5 is on the right side.

Once you get there, talk to Sherri, who will give you the mission to recover the 15 whiskey barrels from Silver Lake.

Once you accept the mission, you'll be able to buy a map in any store in Far Cry 5 that will tell you where to find the containers. However, this will cost you $1,200.

Where to find the whiskey barrels in Far Cry 5

A total of 15 barrels are lying dormant in and around Silver Lake. To find them, you should use a boat or a jet ski to get to the locations in the middle of the lake.

On the following three pictures we have marked the locations of all barrels with red circles. Some of them are hidden near Dutch's Island, the starting area of Far Cry 5.

A few can be found in the Whitetail Mountains region, the area of Jacob Seed. However, most of them can be found in the large lake area near Drubman Marina.

Once you have collected all the barrels, visit Sherri again to complete the quest and collect your reward.
