Fallout 76: Wastelanders - Find and recruit all companions

The reintroduction of the companions is one of the biggest innovations in Fallout 76: Wastelanders. After all, the lack of NPCs was among the most criticized differences from Fallout 4 (). However, the allies in Wastelanders are no longer constantly by your side, so you can neither abuse them as pack mules nor use them for additional firepower.

Instead, the new Wastelanders companions will settle into your C.A.M.P. once you've convinced them of your hosting qualities. To recruit all of the allies, you must first find them. However, not all companions will want to settle down with you right away. Instead, you'll usually have to complete a few tasks to make living together palatable to them.

Once you've convinced an NPC, you'll each have to build an individual item in your base to get them on their way. In return, each companion will offer you a daily quest that you'll be rewarded with guaranteed legendary items for completing. When you've had enough of a companion, simply store the item in question to disband the WG.

All Fallout 76: Wastelanders companions and locations

Since you can only host one companion in your base at a time, the choice needs to be well thought out. In the following, we will introduce you to all five Fallout 76 compan ions and their locations. We'll also explain how to recruit them. In addition, we'll tell you which companion you can romance.

Where can I find Raider Rabauke?

You can find the Raider Rabauken in the Raider Base in thenorthern crater. Keep to the right after entering the location via fast travel. There, the Fallout 76 companion is in the same building as the raider leader Meg. Go down the stairs and talk straight to the raider bully to recruit him. You'll quickly discover that his heart beats more for the radio than for the raiders.

Consequently, all he asks of you is that you set up a radio station (Raider Punk Radio) in your C.A.M.P. After speaking with the Wastelanders Companion, you will find the new facility in the Build menu under the Allies tab. Beyond that, you do not need to meet any other requirements or complete the main Wastelanders quest.

How do I recruit Settler Wildbeaters?

You can find the Settler Wild Huntsman in the centrally located Foundation. Keep to the right after you enter the Settlers Base and take the elevator to the Founders Hall. There you will meet the next Wastelanders companion, who is making his rounds near the underground biotope. Talk to him and learn that he is a famous author.

Make sure you have 6 Intelligence or 8 Luck to convince the settler Wildbeuter to move to your base. Once you've convinced him, set up the Wildbeuter chair in your C.A.M.P. Besides the simple wooden chair, the Wastelanders companion has no other requirements and you don't have to complete any tasks for him.

Commander Daguerre - Location

Commander Daguerre can be found at the Abandoned Bunker in the northeast of the map. Once you are in the vicinity, the associated quest "Ally: Crash Landing". Follow the markings into the basement of the bunker, where you first help the former astronaut with a stimpack. She will then ask you to recover the flight data of her crashed spaceship.

Make your way south until you reach the Schlinger Lagoon. There you will discover the wreckage of the spaceship and interact with the flight data recorder. You'll then have to defend the location for two minutes - take enough ammo with you. After eliminating the enemies, transfer flight data from the device and take it to Commander Daguerre in the bunker.

After that, the Wastelanders companion will ask for an encryption code. Before the conversation, make sure you have an intelligence score of 8 to get a security password. With the password in hand, travel back to the Strangler Lagoon and talk to the robot to get the encryption data.

With a Charisma score of 6, you'll receive an additional legendary reward. Moreover, the astronaut now offers herself as a companion - her home computer terminal doesn't work anymore anyway. Therefore, you rebuild the so-called USSA console in your base, whereupon Commander Daguerre immediately sets off. Furthermore, your companion will fall in love with you if you give as many "flirt" answers as possible during the conversations. This is how you start a romance with her.

How do I get the companion Beckett?

Beckett is being held captive in a Blood Eagle settlement on the southern half of the map. Once you approach the Rollins work camp, the associated quest will begin. The companion prison is located in the huge crane of the camp. Prepare well for the mission, as the area is teeming with blood eagles that will give you a run for your money.

Shoot your way to the prisoner, who will send you to the opposite building. There you will find the prison key in a box on the third floor. After freeing Becket, help him get his equipment back. After the errands, you'll have recruited another companion and set up Beckett's bar in your C.A.M.P. - best of all, the first drink is on him!

Where can I find the Settler Wanderer?

This Fallout 76 companion is not so easy to find, as it is a random encounter. Some players report meeting him north of the Warden's camp. If you have trouble finding the Settler Walker, keep switching servers until you encounter him in the area.

Once you've met him, recruiting the companion is abreeze. All it takes is a simple conversation, without any skill checks. Afterwards, set up a chair with a guitar in your camp and the settler wanderer will provide the musical entertainment.
