Dying Light 2: Stay Human offers you a gigantic open world. You can climb the rooftops of Old Villedor and the Central Ring with daring parkour stunts or fight street battles with zombies and bandits. If you are in a hurry for a quest, the comfortable fast travel doesn't hurt either. We'll show you all the subway stations and how to unlock them.

How do I unlock fast travel in Dying Light 2?

During the story quest "A Home" you will cross the underground together with Lawan and travel from Old Villedor to the Central Ring. Before that, however, you'll have to save the water tower (guide), among other things, and assign it to one of the enemy camps.

Once you have reached the central ring with Lawan, the fast travel function is activated automatically. So you'll have to complete a large portion of the game before you're allowed to fast travel for the first time. The Downtown Court subway station in Downtown's No Man's Land is the first fast travel station available to you in the Central Ring.

How do I activate new fast travel points?

In order to fast travel in the Dying Light 2 urban area, you need to find and unlock the respective subway stations. If you follow the story quest, it is always best to unlock the local subway station as soon as you reach a new area. This will save you long walks later on. Activating a subway station is no small feat. The upper floors are full of infected or bandits.

Then you'll have to use your parkour skills and shimmy your way through the respective basement to restore the power there. To do this, you'll have to find up to four hidden auxiliary generators in the generator room. If you're strong enough, you can shred your way through the subway station. However, the less dangerous option is sneaking. You can read how to improve Aiden in our skill guide for Dying Light 2.

Tip: Play the story quest and get the grappling hook during the transmitter decision in Dying Light 2 (guide). This will allow you to reach the generators in the basements of the subway stations much faster.

You can recognize the subway stations by their slanted roof and the red "M".

What rewards do I get in the subway stations?

Once you reactivate the subway station, you can use it as a quick travel point from anywhere. There's also a new player stash where you'll find an inhibitor that you'll need to upgrade Aiden's stamina and health. There are also plenty of crafting materials, weapons and clothes hidden in the stations.

Note: Before you turn on the power, you should collect all the loot, otherwise it will disappear - with the exception of the inhibitor.
