Elden Ring: Nepheli Loux - Solve the Warrior Quest

Nepheli Loux will assist you in many a boss fight in Elden Ring. However, you will have to solve her quest, which includes several tasks and puzzles. With this guide you can solve the warrior's quest and get some valuable rewards.

First meeting with Nepheli Loux

You will meet the warrior Nepheli Loux for the first time at Storm Veil Castle. Fight your way to the place of mercy "Chamber on Elevator Side" in the north of the courtyard. Run east along the path past the storm hawks.

In the bend before the giant you will see a Golden Seed. Just before it you can enter a storage room on the right through a small archway. Talk to Nepheli there. Afterwards she will assist you in the upcoming boss fight against Godrick (Guide) as an AI helper.

Nepheli Loux in the Tablet of Mercy

Rest after defeating Godrick (Guide) in his Place of Mercy and exit the dungeon through the throne room. You will reach the place of mercy "Sea Cliffs", from where Melina will teleport you to the Tablet of Mercy for the first time.

Speak with Sir Gideon Ofnir there. The next time you return to the tablet, you will meet Nepheli Loux outside Gideon's study, who will give you the Arsenal Talisman , which will increase your maximum equipment weight.

Finding Nepheli Loux in Albinauric Village

Next, you'll meet Nepheli Loux in the Village of Albinaurics. To find the hidden location in Liurnia, read our guide to the optional Elden Ring area Haligbaum. On the hill at the entrance to the village you will find Nepheli by some Albinauric corpses. Talk to her until the dialogue is exhausted.

Cross the large stone bridge in the Albinauric village to finish off the Painter.

Then run through the village and cross the large stone bridge. At the other end, the mini-boss Painter awaits you at a large fire. Kill him and collect the Crucible Knot Talisman. It reduces the damage taken and the impact of headshots, which is especially beneficial in areas with strong archers.

Nepheli Loux will not return to the Round Table Fortress until you kill the Painter in Albinauric Village.

Nepheli Loux: Second Meeting at the Round Table Fortress

Once you have killed the Painter, Nepheli will return to the Round Table Fortress. This time you will meet her in the basement. Take the stairs near Master Blacksmith Hewg. She is not very talkative and sends you away again. Talk to Sir Gideon Ofnir about Nepheli's despair and return to her. This time you will get a dialogue option.

Next, you'll need to advance the quest around Seluvis (Guide) until he gives you a potion to give to Nepheli. If she's squatting in the basement in despair, she'll accept it. However, this will bring her quest to an unpleasant end.

If you want to continue the quest instead, give the potion to Sir Gideon or the Manure Eater (Guide) when he is stuck gagged in his cell in the Reserve of Shame. Seluvis assumes at your next meeting that you have presented the potion to Nepheli Loux.

Speak to Sir Gideon about Nepheli's despair, and the warrior will speak with you in the basement of the Round Table Fortress.

Find the Four Bell Towers and Magic Stone Sword Keys

At the Four Bell Towers you need to find the right portal to get to the Storm Hawk King.

Along the road leading to House Caria you will find theFour Bell Towers. There are three portals placed there that will teleport you to different locations in the interlands. To activate them, you will need a magic sword key.

Locations of the magic sword keys

  • Treasure chest in the uppermost of the Four Bell Towers in Liurnia
  • On the rooftops of the Academy of Raya Lucaria (access via Place of Grace "Forum of Debate")
  • Behind one of the magic seals in Sellia, City of Wizards in Caelid (see Millicent's Quest)

This portal will lead you to the Chapel of Expectation and the required Storm Hawk King.

Find Storm Hawk King

The portal at the second of the Four Bell Towers will take you to the Chapel of Expectation, the starting area of Elden Ring. If the tutorial boss overran you at the start of the game as he did me, you may now repay him. Defeating the Transplanted Sprout will earn you the Golden Beast Shield and the Ornamental Sword, a golden double blade that should be of particular interest to skill builds.

Cross the bridge to the chapel and take the door to the right of the main entrance. Run up the stairs and grab the key item "The Storm Hawk King". Use the small stairs to get to the upper floor of the chapel. Open the treasure chest on the right and you'll get the ashes of the storm hawk Deenh. Now bring Nepheli the Storm Hawk King to the round table fortress.

Capture Kenneth Haight's Fortress

To complete the quest for Nepheli Loux, you must first tackle a small side quest in Limgrave. Visit Kenneth Haight at his lookout point in east Limgrave, along the road to the Third Church of Marika. He asks you to free his fortress from a knight.

Then cross the cloud forest until you reach Haight's fortress. Fight your way through the half-men, soldiers and the pumpkin head to the very top. There the aforementioned knight awaits you. Kill him and you will get the war ash "Bloody Cut".

Tell Kenneth about your victory. He rewards you with the Earth Steel Dagger and moves back into his fortress. Rest at a place of mercy, then visit Kenneth where you previously laid the knight and exhaust the dialogue.

Follow the marked path and you will meet Kenneth Haight and find his fortress.

Nepheli Loux: Complete the quest

You will get to the end of Nepheli's quest only after you reach the Altus Plateau and the Royal Capital Leyndell. There you have to defeat the boss Morgott (Guide). Then return to Storm Veil Castle and enter Godrick's Throne Room.

Noteif Nepheli and Kenneth don't appear in the throne room, teleport to the place of mercy "Godrick the Transplanted". Run back to the place of mercy "Secluded Cell" and rest there. Now enter Godrick's throne room without using another teleport and they should be standing in front of the throne.

Reward for the quest around Nepheli Loux

Talk to Nepheli and she will give you an Ancient Dragon Forge Stone, which you can use to upgrade special weapons to the maximum. If you left Gostoc alive, he will stand in the corner behind the throne and also sell you an Ancient Dragon Forge Stone for 20,000 runes.

Nepheli Loux is now ruler of Stormwind Castle and her quest is complete. However, you will meet her one last time in the Cinder capital of Leyndell. In the fight against Godfrey, First Elden Prince (Guide)she will be at your side as an AI helper if you have completed the quest for the warrior.
