Defeat Tyreen the Destroyer in Borderlands 3: The most important facts

After raging your way through masses of Children of the Chamber followers, the gameplay seamlessly transitions from the Pyre of Stars quest to the Divine Retribution quest. Tyreen appears on the scene and becomes the goddess during the cinematic, who wants to bring about the end of all times.

With any luck, Tyreen's death will reward you with the King's Call and Queen's Call pistols, with each critical hit recharging the magazine. By defeating Tyreen, you'll also complete the Gold Trophy "I never liked her" and get a lot closer to the Platinum Trophy. Prepare yourself by filling the magazines of your weapons at the vending machines and put on your best equipment. For combat, we recommend a rocket launcher and other weapons that deal the highest possible damage in a short time and can be used at medium or long range. Due to the size of the chamber guard Tyreen has taken possession of, a shotgun does more damage than a pistol.

A powerful Assault Rifle or SMG are ideal for combat. Fire and kinetic damage will take Tyreen down as quickly as possible. Weapons with corrosion and shock damage are not recommended for combat, these do very little damage due to the lack of armor and shields. You face Tyreen on a small platform from which there is no escape. Her size and area attacks look very threatening. It's important not to panic, concentrate on dodging and keep the highest possible distance. Move either counterclockwise or clockwise and do not change direction.

Tyreen the Destroyer: How to survive the fight

As in most boss fights, Tyreen doesn't get through the fight without allies. Varkids provide air support and cause additional damage. Do not kill them until you are down. This way, you'll unlock the second chance and won't die immediately if you make a mistake. Tyreen attacks with a homing laser that follows you slowly.

Dodge to the left or right and always keep an eye on her. When her hands touch the ground, pink crystals sprout emerge from the ground in several rows. Do not stop and move in one direction, then most of the crystals will miss you. Periodically she collapses and does not act for a short time.

Lilith calls attention to this and asks you to climb her back. Switch to a powerful shotgun as you mount the beast and courageously shoot the pink glowing eye. This will cause Tyreen's head to come out. Jump down to the front, attack her head with action skills, grenades, a shotgun or a rocket launcher.

After a few seconds, her head disappears back inside the chamber guard. Tyreen flies into the air and summons a huge fireball that channels several flame lasers onto the ground. The beams rotate in a clockwise direction. By moving between the beams, you escape the damage. As the fight goes on and Tyreen's life bar decreases, the damage she deals always increases.

Be especially vigilant at 33 percent remaining life. Just before she dies, two giant fireballs appear, connected to several lasers. They fly over the entire platform. Immune yourself or jump over the thin laser beams to avoid getting hit. In True Vault Hunter mode, Tyreen uses this attack more often.

More tips for fighting the boss of Borderlands 3

• Tyreen is at level 39, so we recommend at least level 37 for the fight.
• Her head is her weak point. Hits against weak points are always critical and cause increased damage.
• Play especially carefully, as there are no chests on the platform. The Varkids occasionally drop ammo and life energy.
